Public housing is for low income persons or families. The rent is based on all income in the household. One of the criteria is to be income eligible.(link to income page). Grounds for denying admission can include criminal activity, poor credit, or hazardous housekeeping.

Rhea County New Development: These homes are eleven (11) two (824 square feet) and three (1028 square feet) bedroom houses located in Rhea County (Spring City). Built in 1996 they are located in a quiet area just outside of Spring City. Each house has a large lot and private driveways. Rents are not based on income, however, we accept Section 8 rental assistance vouchers. All applicants must meet eligibility requirements.

Twin Oaks Apartments: There are 28 apartments located off of Wayne Avenue in Cumberland County (Crossville). There are one (572 square feet) and two (752 square feet) bedroom apartments. Applicants must be at least 62 years of age or older. Washer/Dryer units are included. All units are on ground level and handicap accessible. Individual parking spaces provided. Rents are not based on income, however, we accept Section 8 rental assistance vouchers. All applicants must meet eligibility requirements.

Willowwood Apartments: There are 32 apartments located off of Wayne Avenue in Cumberland County (Crossville). There are one (600 square feet) and three (1338 square feet) bedroom apartments. These are family and elderly units. Washer/Dryer units are included. All units are on ground level and handicap accessible. Individual parking spaces provided. Rents are not based on income, however, we accept Section 8 rental assistance vouchers. All applicants must meet eligibility requirements

Russell Park I: There are 11 apartments located in Roane County (Rockwood). There are one (572 square feet) and two (752 square feet) bedroom apartments. White Oak Apartments: There are 39 apartments located in Fentress County (Jamestown). There are two (972 square feet) and three (1089 square feet) bedroom apartments. There are two full bathrooms, dishwasher included. Individual parking spaces provided. Rents are not based on income, however, we accept Section 8 rental assistance vouchers. All applicants must meet eligibility requirements.

Green Meadows Townhomes: There are 28 apartments located off of Wayne Avenue in Cumberland County (Crossville). There are two (960 square feet) and three (1200 square feet) bedroom apartments. Washer/Dryer units are included. Individual parking spaces provided. Rents are not based on income, however, we accept Section 8 rental assistance vouchers. All applicants must meet eligibility requirements.

Azalea Gardens: This is supportive housing for the elderly. Some assistance with daily living is provided. There are 15 apartments in one building located off of Taylor Street in Cumberland County (Crossville). These are all one bedroom apartments. Applicants must be 62 years of age and older. Laundry facilities are on site. Rent is based on income and includes utilities. All applicants must meet eligibility requirements.

Oakmont Gardens: This is supportive housing for the elderly. Some assistance with daily living is provided. There are 11 apartments in one building located off of Taylor Street in Cumberland County (Crossville). These are all one bedroom apartments. Applicants must be 62 years of age and older. Laundry facilities are on site. Rent is based on income and includes utilities. All applicants must meet eligibility requirements.

Teresa Gardens: This is a HUD 811 program for the disabled. Some assistance with daily living is provided. There are 10 apartments in one building located off of Myrtle Avenue in Cumberland County (Crossville). These are all one bedroom apartments. Laundry facilities are on site. Rent is based on income and includes utilities. All applicants must meet eligibility requirements.
